Applied Social Psychology book, as far as we know, has the feature of being the first systematic resource written in this field in Turkey. Applied social psychology goes beyond the traditional application areas of psychology and presents the theoretical and empirical accumulation of (social) psychology within the framework of a holistic approach to the interventions and practices applied in order to solve social problems and increase social welfare. This book, which highlights the application areas rather than the basic scientific approach, integrates approaches from different disciplines of psychology with social psychological approaches.
Due to the wide variety of topics, this book is grouped into four main groups: The chapters in the first part focus on the basic principles and theoretical basis of applied social psychology and aim to lay the groundwork for applications. The second part of the book; It focuses on intervention programs developed to solve social problems such as migration, poverty, inequalities, conflict, consumption and social security. Third part; It includes chapters that highlight the role of social psychology in developing practice in areas such as health, education, business, law, politics, environment, sports and traffic. The last part consists of sections dealing with the cooperation between clinical psychology approaches, which is the traditional application area of psychology, and social psychology approaches.
